Created in 1891 in Springfield, Massachusetts, basketball has grown from a largely American game to an international phenomenon. In this session of Sports Friday, we'll be exploring the game of basketball as both an international cultural phenomenon and as an evolving game. We'll look at the rules as they were and the game as it's played now, as well as the history of the game and the current issues at the highest and lowest levels.
