Documentary Film Screening: "Ken Burns: Thomas Jefferson" Part 1

  • America House Kyiv 6 Mykoly Pymonenka Street Kyiv, 02000 Ukraine (map)

Join us this Saturday for a special documentary screening of the first episode of Ken Burns' two part special on Thomas Jefferson, an exploration of one of America's founding fathers and the profound impact he had on the nation. Introducing Thomas Jefferson as the "American Enigma," it focuses on the first half of his life, tracing his journey from a young Virginia aristocrat to the author of the Declaration of Independence and eventually to the brink of his presidency. Stay after the screening for a conversation about the film and about the man. As we celebrate America 250, this event highlights the enduring legacy of Thomas Jefferson within the framework of the United States' history.
