America House Kyiv and ELR Charlie are so excited to welcome you back for our 2nd season of Poetry in the Garden. Join us in AHK’s peaceful Urban Garden to enjoy English-language poetry as the sun sets. Each session will explore themes like love, travel, and loss through poetry.
This week at America House Kyiv, we'll be continuing our study of America's great poets with a session on Langston Hughes' "Blues in Stereo." Hughes was born in Missouri and travelled extensively across the US and abroad before settling in New York City and becoming part of a vaunted cultural and social movement. His poetry explores the working class experiences of men and women in various parts of the United States. Join us on July 24th at 18:30 to discuss his poetry. See you in the garden.
Attendance and participation are free. You just need to let us know if you’re coming by registering for the event in advance. We’ll save you a spot and keep you posted about any changes.
📍 The deadline to register is July 24th at 12 PM.
The event will take place at America House Kyiv (Mykoly Pymonenka Street 6.) Please familiarize yourself with the rules of admission before your visit. Remember to bring your passport or driver’s license to enter America House Kyiv.
See you soon!
