Last year, America House Kyiv presented American Identity, an interactive journey through American history that attempted to answer the question "what is America?" This year, we're bringing it back, attemping to answer that same question through a new lens. For this series, we'll be focusing on the country's origins and looking at the evolution of American identity from colonial times all the way through the end of the American Revolution and the ratification of the US Constitution.
Join us on Friday, November 28th, at 18:30 as we explore America’s earliest foundations — its colonial roots, the struggle for independence, and the ideas that ultimately shaped a new nation.
The American Identity series is dedicated to enhancing understanding of American history and identity, spanning from pre-colonial times to the contemporary era. Using American passport images as a catalyst for discussions, the series is crafted to unveil nuanced perspectives within American history and culture.
Attendance and participation are free. You just need to let us know if you’re coming by registering for the event in advance. We’ll save you a spot and keep you posted about any changes.
