Film English is designed for English language learners who want to see, hear and experience language in context. Each session features a short film followed by a discussion of its literal and figurative meaning.
On January 20th you will watch the documentary film "Mighty Times: The Children's March".
The Children's March tells the story of how the young people of Birmingham, Alabama, braved fire hoses and police dogs in 1963 and brought segregation to its knees. Their heroism complements discussions about the ability of today's young people to be catalysts for positive social change.
Film English will be on Wednesday, January 20th at 5:00 PM.
