Presenter bio:

Lauren Whitaker recently returned from a ten-month English Language Fellowship in Astana, Kazakhstan, where she taught at Eurasian National University. She obtained her Masters in Linguistic Studies with a concentration in Language, Culture, and Society from Syracuse University in May 2015. She also taught at Syracuse University's English Language Institute, with a focus on Accuracy and American Culture. She also volunteered with the City of Syracuse in a variety of refugee resettlement initiatives focusing on English language and cultural support. Her diverse teaching experience has allowed for a unique and ever-changing approach to English language teaching.
