Program author:
Olha Viun is a Global UGRAD alumna and Project Manager at SoftServe Ukraine. Her academic experience spans from Kent State University in the United States to the University of Warsaw in Poland. She knows what it means to build a path without a ready-made network: to search for mentors, opportunities, and a community that believes in your potential.
Driven by the idea that access to knowledge and meaningful connections should not depend on privilege or luck, Olha created this program to ensure young Ukrainians don't pursue their journeys alone. Her vision is simple: to open doors she once had to knock on herself and to empower the next generation of Ukrainian leaders to enter global rooms with confidence, voice, and purpose.
This program is designed for current students at Ukrainian universities who are:
Majoring in international relations, law, political science, communications, or related fields (note: all fields are welcome!)
Young professionals aspiring to careers in diplomacy, government, public policy, or international organizations
Alumni of academic and cultural exchange programs sponsored by the U.S. Department of State (e.g., FLEX, UGRAD)
Youth leaders and civic-minded volunteers engaged in advocacy, community development, and public service
*Note: While all the above categories are welcome, applicants do not need to meet all four criteria to be eligible for the program.
