New Year — a fresh start! America House Kyiv is launching its new Community Connect leadership program to contribute to the generation of young leaders in Ukraine. Are you interested in leading and making a difference in your community while building yourself as a leader? Learn more and apply!
Community Connect is designed to nurture and develop the leadership skills of Ukrainian youth, empowering them to create and implement projects that benefit their local communities.
We’re looking for young and aspiring Ukrainians with leadership potential and a passion for driving positive change in their communities.
Program duration: February 2026 – May 2026
The deadline to apply is 23:59 on January 21st.
By participating in the program you will:
Equip yourself with practical skills necessary for managing and leading during adversities.
Facilitate self-discovery to identify your unique strengths.
Promote personal growth and self-awareness, essential for authentic leadership.
Foster innovative thinking and enhance problem-solving abilities.
Strengthen your skills in project management, planning, outreach, and communication.
Generate social and cultural impact by designing and implementing community projects shaped with the gained skills.
Get trained in community-centered leadership, with a focus on prioritizing local needs and aspirations.
Find friends and a supportive community of like-minded people!
Apply if you meet the following criteria:
You are Ukrainian and reside in Ukraine.
You are between 18 and 22 years old.
You are passionate about creating a positive social and cultural impact in your communities.
You have initial ideas for community and cultural projects that can be implemented in 4-6 weeks.
You have a good command of written and spoken English, as parts of the program will be conducted in English.
Participation in the Program is free of charge, because all opportunities from America House are free.
The program will be implemented at America House Kyiv, as well as at America House Lviv and America House Odesa.

Participants for this program will be chosen based on their submitted application forms. Selection criteria include the applicant's motivation, expectations, and the overall quality of their application. Please note that not everyone who applies will be selected to participate.

The Program will be conducted offline in Kyiv.

It's not required to have a project idea before applying for the program. You'll have the opportunity to develop your cornerstone project and its concept collaboratively with other participants throughout the program's duration.

America House Kyiv
America House Kyiv is a cultural center and your main resource for American culture, education, and information in the Kyiv region. AHK organizes a wide range of activities, including English-language programs, skill-building workshops, cultural events, art exhibitions, concerts and more. America House operates also in Lviv and Odesa, and is a part of the overarching framework of American Spaces Network in Ukraine that include America House and Window on America programs.
