Curious about where and when did Hip Hop start? “Breakbeat” and “amen break” will no longer be mystery words after attending our public workshop led by American hip hop musician and performer Wordsmith, coming to you live from Baltimore.
Become fluent in the elements of Hip Hop and learn all about its history as you pick up
- knowledge about the different eras,
- the basics of the genre’s musical techniques from drums to turntables,
- sweet moves to show off on the inevitable post-pandemic dance floors.
The workshop will be streamed live to America House’s Facebook page during an online-exclusive event that will be available during the time of streaming only.
The fun will continue at the registration-only virtual After Party and Q&A at 7:30 PM, where you can ask your questions related to hip hop history, as well as connect with other hip-hop heads and hang out with the musicians and America House team that made this event possible!
