Here is some interesting information about her: 

Kay:
I grew up in a very small town in Michigan, not far from Lake Michigan, and did not leave the area until I graduated from university. I then moved to Washington, DC and worked as an unpaid intern on Capitol Hill until I was hired as an aide for a US Senator. I worked on Capitol Hill for several years and then in government relations and lobbying for higher education. Since my husband joined the Foreign Service, we have lived in Africa, South East Asia, Central Europe and now, Kyiv! I am very excited to be here and look forward to exploring and learning about your rich culture. I love to sing in choirs, read, travel and learn about and practice mindfulness. I look forward to meeting you!
