“The Fighter” (2010)
Micky Ward, a determined but struggling boxer from Lowell, Massachusetts, fights to step out of the shadow of his older half-brother, Dicky Eklund. Once a local legend for going toe-to-toe with Sugar Ray Leonard, Dicky’s career was derailed by addiction and crime, but he finds a shot at redemption by becoming Micky’s trainer. As Micky faces setbacks both in the ring and at home, he must navigate the complicated loyalty to his family while forging his own path to the world light welterweight title.
