Workshop: An Introduction to Islamic Geometric Design

For over a thousand years, craftsmen decorated the Islamic world with their beautiful and complex geometric compositions. In this 90-minute workshop you’ll discover how these intricate patterns were created over the centuries and uncover the secrets of ‘reading’ a composition. Join us as we experience the creative process using these ancient design principles, and create your very own geometric patterns. Space is limited so arrive early!

IMPORTANT: All participants will need to bring the following materials:

- a ruler (or other tool for drawing straight lines);
- a pencil;
- an eraser;
- colored pencils/pens (optional but recommended).

Remember to bring your passport or driver's license.
