Американський дім відкриває виставку абстрактного живопису “Залізна витримка” до Дня захисника України, що святкується 14 жовтня. Картини Андрія Барановського, ветерана АТО та активного учасника подій Революції гідності, є емоційною рефлексією на буремні події останніх років. Андрій Барановський – захисник Батьківщини, але його покликання і професійна діяльність – це мистецтво. Саме так виражається бачення ситуації та пориви митця в тому, що він вміє найкраще, в тому, чим він живе. «Неймовірне об’єднання горя, людяності, радощів життя, страждань я відчував усіма фібрами моєї душі. Залізо не витримувало те, що повинні були витримувати люди», – Андрій.
Даний цикл робіт є закінченням важливого етапу в житті Барановського, який дає змогу митцю, переосмисливши власний досвід минулого, йти та розвиватися далі. Проект присвячений мужності українців, і незважаючи на трагізм сучасних подій, завжди залишається надія: «Художник повинен завжди шукати свої істини... Я малюю, щоб нести красу в світ», – Андрій.
Андрій Барановський – сучасний майстер кольору. Народився у 1964 роцi у селi Добриводи, Україна. Живе та працює в Києві. З 1984 до 1989 навчався в Київському iнститутi дизайну ім. М. Бойчука, після якого вступив до Національної академії мистецтв Украіни. У 1989 роцi Андрій поїхав до Америки, де брав участь у груповій виставцi в Українському Домi в Чикаго. З того ж часу митець почав багато працювати, малювати в різних напрямках, займатися живописом, дизайном, фотографією та скульптурою. Роботи Андрія знаходяться у приватних колекціях Канади, США, України, Німеччини, Австралії, Росії та Британії. Андрій Барановський є членом Спiлки дизайнерiв України. Художник бере участь в багатьох українських та міжнародних виставках. Одним з нових, але вже улюблених, напрямків творчості автора є релігійний живопис. Мозаїчні ікони, виконані Барановським, прикрашають Храм Різоположенчиського чоловічого монастиря на Київщині.

America House opens an exhibition of abstract paintings, "Iron Endurance" for the Defender of Ukraine Day, which is celebrated on October 14. The artwork by Andriy Baranovsky, an ATO veteran and active participant in the Revolution of Dignity, are an emotional reflection of the tempestuous events of recent years. Andriy Baranovsky is a defender of the Motherland, but his vocation and professional interest is art. That is how the artist’s vision of the situation is expressed in his mastery. "The incredible combination of grief, humanity, the joys of life, suffering I felt with all the fibers of my soul. Iron did not withstand what people had to withstand "- Andrew.
This series of works is the completion of an important stage in the life of Baranovsky, it enabled the artist to rethink his own experience of the past and to move on. The project is dedicated to the courage of Ukrainians. Despite the tragedy of modern events, there is always hope: "The artist always has to seek his own truths ... I paint to bring beauty to the world" - Andriy.
Andriy Baranovsky is a contemporary color master. Born in 1964 in Dobrivody village, Ukraine, he now lives and works in Kyiv. From 1984 to 1989 he studied at the Kyiv State Institute of Decorative and Applied Art and Design named after M. Boychuk. Afterwards, he entered the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine. In 1989 Andriy moved to the U.S.and participated in a group exhibition at the Ukrainian House in Chicago. Since that time, he began to work much more, drawing on different techniques, as well as studying painting, design, photography and sculpture. Andriy's works are in private collections in Canada, the USA, Ukraine, Germany, Australia, Russia, and Great Britain. Andriy Baranovsky is a member of the Union of Designers of Ukraine. Mr. Baranovsky participates in many Ukrainian and international exhibitions. One of the new, but already beloved, areas of creativity of Andriy is religious painting. The mosaic icons, made by Baranovsky, decorate the Rizopolohchyshsky monastery temple in the Kyiv region.
As part of the exhibition we will have a chat session with Michelle C. O’Brien-Gietka, the Security Assistance Officer at the U.S. Office of Defense Cooperation in Kyiv, Ukraine. During the session Michelle will share her personal story and experience as a woman in the American Air Force. After you will be able to ask questions and discuss aspects of the military service.
