How to motivate students to honest study? What study conditions should be provided for students at college to be motivated for Academic Integrity? Those are the questions to be discussed at Dan Rodkin’s lecture “Academic Integrity as a Tool for Improving the Quality of Higher Education” that will take place at America House Kyiv at 4pm on September 21, 2017.
The event will be translated into Ukrainian.
Dan Rodkin serves as Associate Vice President for Student Affairs at Santa Fe College, Florida since 2013. He is responsible for Enrollment Management (including Recruitment, Admissions, and Orientation), International Student Services, and Student Conduct. He chairs the Enrollment Management Task Force, Disciplinary Admissions Committee, and Student Affairs Assessment Team, and serves on the college’s Behavioral Intervention Team. Dan also has an adjunct faculty appointment in SF’s Student Development Instruction department and regularly lectures on community college student affairs for the University of Florida’s Student Personnel in Higher Education program.
Dan earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration from the University of Florida, a Master’s of Education in Student Personnel Services from the University of South Carolina, and a Doctorate of Education in Higher Education Administration from the University of Florida.
During the lecture Dan Rodkin will pay special attention to the “conditions for Academic Integrity” and how to create those conditions on campus, how to work with students systematically including students consultation and facilitation in their study and everyday life.

Доктор Ден Родкін відповідає за роботу зі студентами (Student Affairs) з 1996 року, з них у Коледжі Санта Фе (Santa Fe College) – з серпня 2000. Його професійний досвід включає 4 роки роботи у департаменті поселення та розміщення студентів та 13 років у департаменті у справах студентів (Student Life).
З 2013 року доктор Родкін працює заступником віце-президента у справах студентів – на посаді, яка передбачає процес відбору і прийому студентів, орієнтацію для студентів-першокурсників, роботу з міжнародними студентами та виховну роботу.
Пан Родкін очолює робочу групу, яка здійснює відбір і зарахування студентів, дисциплінарну приймальну комісію та комітет по роботі зі студентськими зверненнями. Також пан Родкін читає лекції з управління студентськими справами в громадських коледжах (community college) в Університеті Флориди (University of Florida).
Свого часу пан Родкін обіймав посади президента в Асоціації коледжів штату Флорида та Асоціації системної діяльності коледжів Флориди. Наразі пан Родкін є дійсним членом організації Study Florida, загальнонаціонального консорціуму державних і приватних інституцій, які промотують міжнародну освіту у штаті Флорида.
Доктор Родкін має професійні нагороди за досягнення у сфері управління вищою освітою.

Ден Родкін має звання бакалавра з бізнес адміністрування від Університету Флориди (University of Florida) та звання магістра з освіти і управління студентськими послугами від Університету Південної Кароліни (University of South Carolina).
Свою докторську ступінь у сфері освіти та управління вищою освітою пан Родкін отримав від Університету Флориди.
