Professional Chat with RaeJean Stokes, Assistant Cultural Affairs Officer

Come learn about what American Foreign Service Officers (aka diplomats) do all day!  RaeJean will talk about her path to diplomacy, which includes time as a Peace Corps Volunteer, an NGO worker, and a writer.  She’ll tell you about her job at the U.S. Embassy, how public diplomacy work is defined and prioritized, and most of all – why she loves serving in Ukraine.

RaeJean is married to another diplomat, loves to cook and do yoga (but not at the same time), and has an adorable little shih tzu. She has been a member of the American Foreign Service for four years. Before Kyiv, she served as a Consular Officer in Mexico City. In addition to Ukrainian and Russian, she speaks Spanish.

Don't forget your passport or driver's license.
