The purpose of the Breathing for Peace Project is to bring evidence-based Hatha yoga, breathing, and mindfulness techniques to underserved populations in Ukraine. The Breathing for Peace Project is a minimal cost intervention strategy designed to support and encourage self-awareness and stress reduction.
This informative and experiential hands-on training will focus on transferable skills to reach and teach those experiencing anxiety, fear, tension, conflict, and stress. As a result of this training, each participant will be able to balance, integrate, and center themselves in times of stress utilizing specific techniques that are designed to regulate breathing; participants will be better able to identify, observe, accept and work with feelings; and they will be able to make positive choices that promote health and well being. After completing the training, participants will receive a certificate of training and will be able to confidently share these techniques by training others.
